Mr. Janis Kravis was the man who first brought Finnish, Swedish and Danish design to Toronto beginning in 1959 when the first Karelia store opened. He is perhaps best known as the architect of the restaurant Three Small Rooms in The Windsor Arms Hotel. He designed this residence as a haven for himself and his wife. They loved to sit on the deck and admire the birds and flowers in the large garden. The home features open, simple volumes, a stunning vaulted pine ceiling, generous windows, home office and nanny/in-law potential, flowing spaces and abundant storage. It embodies the spirit of modern Scandinavian design.
