The re-vamping of Don Mills and Eglinton is well underway. A complete new community will be built around these two intersections, which will be a combination of living space, commercial part and community uses and all of that in very close proximity to public transit.
Walking and cycling facilities will be integrated into the design of the public realm to provide options for getting to and from transit stations.
Presently, the City of Toronto is developing designs for a new pedestrian and cycling bridge over the Canadian Pacific Rail (CPR) to connect the existing Don Mills Trail to the Wynford Drive Extension.
This bridge would provide a new multi-use trail connection and access to enjoy the ravine and its natural heritage.
A final report will be prepared and will be considered by City Council in mid-2021 but the proposed timeline for construction has yet to be determined.
